Unlike a standard diagnostic scanner that focuses primarily on fault code reading and vehicle diagnostics, the ST13 is a fully integrated workshop terminal built around a customized Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS). It connects and controls multiple workshop tools concurrently, including four-wheel alignment equipment, ADAS calibration systems, EV maintenance tools, anti-theft programmers and tire tread detection devices, all from a single 13.3 inch high definition screen. This makes it less of a single function scanner and more of a central workshop management and diagnostic platform.

The SmartSafe ST13 supports intelligent connection with a wide range of professional workshop equipment including four-wheel alignment machines, tire tread detection tools, ADAS calibration systems, anti-theft programming devices and a full range of EV servicing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, insulation testers, current clamps, charge discharge equipment and videoscopes. It can also connect directly to WA913 and TTM113 tire equipment.
