The SmartSafe EP401 is a professional battery pack charge discharge machine developed for automotive repair workshops that work with electric vehicle (EV) battery modules. Built around a wide voltage design, it combines charging, discharging and cell balancing within a single unit, making it one of the most complete solutions available for battery module maintenance. Unlike a standard auto battery tester, the EP401 goes further by running full charge and discharge cycles while monitoring individual cell voltages, assessing battery health and recording capacity data in real time.   • Single cell and terminal voltage monitoring: Captures both pack terminal voltage and individual cell voltage in real time, giving technicians a complete picture of battery module condition at every stage of testing.
  • Single cell protection: Voltage and current protection thresholds can be configured per cell, actively preventing overcharge and over discharge situations throughout the entire process.
  • Terminal protection: Comprehensive safety coverage includes overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, reverse connection and overtemperature protection, keeping both the equipment and the battery module safe at all times.
  • Flexible parameter setting: General mode allows technicians to start quickly with minimal setup. Expert mode unlocks detailed parameter control for more complex battery maintenance tasks that require greater precision.
  • Real time data visualization: Individual cell voltages, terminal voltage and current, test status and total capacity are all displayed live during every session. Technicians always have a clear and accurate view of what is happening inside the pack.
  • History records and data export: Test results are saved automatically and can be reviewed in curve or bar chart formats. Data can be exported as Excel files via USB or shared as PDF reports through email or QR code, which is especially useful for professional documentation and customer handover.
