EVO 5500 is a complete and professional Multifunction instrument on wheels that is suitable for charging and starting all 12 and 24 Volt electrical systems in vehicles: cars, commercial vehicles, trucks, small, medium and large work vehicles. It is a powerful, reliable device run by a microprocessor, and it was designed to carry out automatic charge cycles specifically for standard Wet batteries and new Gel/Agm batteries with up to 10 charge and analysis phases. 3 Programmed charge cycles + 1 Manual cycle

The 3 programmed cycles allow clear and rapid selection of the power to be delivered by the charger according to battery capacity; the three cycles divide the batteries into three macro categories (30 Ah to 80 Ah, 80 Ah to 150 Ah and 150 Ah to 300 Ah). The manual charging cycle allows the charge to be controlled dynamically by means of an electronic potentiometer.

Potentiometer of electronic regulation of current

The EVO series digital potentiometer allows a wide linear adjustment of the charging current, from very low values (1 A) up to the maximum rated current of the charger (for batteries from 4 Ah to 550 Ah). Ideal in case you need to make quick charges or "extreme" recovery attempts.

Electronic Control System

ECS is the electronic control system that enables safe automatic start-up while preserving the on-board electronics of modern vehicles. The EVO 5500 offers high performance and is an inexhaustible source of energy.

Specific processes charging WET-SPIRAL/GEL-AGM

The EVO series battery chargers are designed to charge all types of lead-acid batteries on the market. Particular attention has been paid to the development of charging cycles for batteries with AGM technology currently in use on vehicles equipped with the START & STOP system.

SUPPLY Function

This function is particularly useful: during long phases of vehicle reprogramming it sustains the battery at a voltage of 13.5 V or 27 V also allows for constant maintenance buffer charges (phase eight) with no time limit.

Built-in electronic protection

EVO 5500 is equipped with a sophisticated system of electronic protections; it is protected against overload, short-circuit, does not cause sparks, and also activates the sound and light signal if reverse polarity is made.
